And the winner is...

Wow...it sounds great...."...And the Winner for today's dance program is Reports TEAM." These were the words from one of the loveliest and darling persons from my office who was playing the part of esteemed judge for the Garba Dance competition in our office today.

Garba, is a dance form which is performed during 9 nights (Navratri) with full zeal and enthusiasm adding the charm of worshiping Goddess Amba. Its been 9+ years I am in Ahmedabad and have seen the Garba fever in people here barring the other bad happenings after couple of months;) they enjoy these nights to its fullest and pay homage to the Goddess.

Now coming back to the TEAM activity happened in our office...we all in our office always try to enjoy our time, make friends, chat, love and what not...and yes work as well:). To club all together the office cultural committee was formed and every time we have some or the other team activity where everyone of us can take part and enjoy together with each other.

Twice we had Food Festival; from which proudly we won the second one and had enjoyed cooking in the office along with the decoration. There is one kind of bonding we have for our team now and the common factor is the spirit of joy, happiness, love, care and to WIN and we did it this time also.

There was one activity of a small skit, in which we depicted a kindergarten where the teacher was teased by the students this helped us keep the child alive in our hearts.

One other activity was the Treasure Hunt and with the same team we enjoyed finishing our tasks that time also...All these activities have taught us the lesson of TEAM BUILDING, DELEGATION OF WORK, COORDINATION, ACCEPTANCE, PLANNING, TEAM ETHICS (where you are committed not to disclose your secrets) and many more such great things.

We always try to select our best suited people for the particular task to complete. This time also after so many hurdles at the time of selecting the team, during the practice sessions and on the performance day we came out as shining stars. I would like to thank our new team member who inspite of being new joinee with us; accepted to dance with our colleague with a spirit of winning. The lovely judges; who took the right decision and made us proud winners of the day.

Like a cherry on the cake; our team also got the Best Male Dress winner; hats off again to the new boy who handled well his heavy, embroidered traditional attire with a last minute added head gear made of a dupatta.

All these happenings in our office make us feel to be there all the time and enjoy together, but time plays its own shots. There are crucial time when we have given farewells to our colleagues earlier and may be some day we will give farewell to others also....or may be I will also get one....despite of the fact that I have celebrated my 2 birthdays with them and heading to the 3rd one soon...but life moves on and on and on......
