Dil Titli sa ud ke...

Dil Titli sa ud ke.......

This is the theme song of the latest tv ad of Airtel Digital TV featuring Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

Airtel has always been innovative in selecting the themes for their ads like the one with a scheme for Special 5:

This ad shows the love and belonging within 5 special friends whether they share the birth of chickens together or make a paper boat and sail it in rain water or help one friend to write on the school black board....and what not. A special bond is shown in this cute ad featuring cute little kids.

But, the recent ad of one of the Airtel's product shows a disloyalty between the childhood friends; how contrast is this ad with the earlier mentioned Special 5 ad.

Two childhood friends, live together always and spend the lovely years of their lives together with love, friendship, loyalty together and suddenly when one friend had to go off to the other town the ole memories are still fresh in their mind about one special childhood friend.

Time passes by and these kids are grown up; but still the rememberance is still alive in their hearts and the boy comes back to find her in the old town. Asks everyone about her whereabouts, visits the old places where they use to specnd time together and cherished the old lovable, memorable moments of his life.

One fine day he passes by a procession and when he saw the news of the happenings in TV he saw the same girl wearing the locket of a butterfly which he had gifted her years back. He reaches the venue and was approaching the girl but suddenly Kareena Kapoor passes by and.....

to the surprise of viewers he just snapped off her pic in her pocket and carried on with Kareena Kapoor, leaving the other girl behind with a sad face...

I dont understand with which theme this ad is created where only the protagonist is playing with his loyalty feature and nothing else. Is this the way the men perceives the women and that if we will not get one girl the other one is already waiting for us. If this would have been the girl doing this act of leaving behind her boy friend it would have been debated with full voice where the women power is in the question. But the way this ad is shown on the TV what message this is giving to the GenNext that leave behind the childhood love and go with a fresh new look lady. Or leave behind any other Digital TV and select Ours, in this way the Company want to say they are loyal to their customers or to themselves only where they will make good money keeping the sacredness of a relationship behind.

Everyone would be having their own perception of studying the behavioral aspects of advertisements and public around them; this is my way of analysing the mood with which Airtel is showing its ads all across the media which is showing only disloyalty between partners.
