21 Days Lockdown Series Day 6: Monday Blues and Work from Home

As the Day 6 came close to end, with the boring Monday as it started. I am on fast today and don't know why but mood is not so good. It seems after yesterday's goof up my Boss is not happy and she asked me last night what happened today? But as I was not in frame of mind to answer her I was online till 3am with my sister, we sang songs and before that I had good amount of drink and was in different mood all together and didn't wanted to go into any discussion that time. So, I replied her late in night where I accepted my mistake and sent her detailed message. Monday started with a half heart at work and then as the day continues, it was off the heart today. I also had severe back pain and for this had to take break for an hour from the work. Later around 8:30 my mom cooked Mooli paratha for me and the food worked it all. As you all know there is no domestic help nowadays at home cause of the virus and no movement allowed. So, had to wash the utensils and clothes mysel

21 Days Lockdown Series Day 4: Gratitude

So, Day 4 and its becoming tougher and tougher day by day. But thank God there is work and internet to help you survive. Today after 3 days I went out to buy the basic veggies and essential grocery just from the shop outside our society. So, I covered myself with mask and all and then went out with dad. There were just 4-5 carts from where we could buy some veggies and then grocery from outside shop and then back to our den and back to work. Interestingly I remembered we had a machine where we could clean the hazardous chemicals from the veggies skin and I used that today and cleaned the veggies which I bought from outside and I must say the veggies were again fresh like just peeled off from the garden and served. I want to thank you to my father's friend who gifted him this machine and now today we got chance to use it and understand its worth. Later in the day at work also something interesting happened, as we do video calls everyday with the team and they are all very e

21 Days Lockdown Series Day 2: Baked Aata Biscuits

So here we are, Day 2 is about to finish now. Though my health is OK, not so good but had to push myself and not be a lazy bum I just kicked myself and went away from the laptop for sometime atleast and tried my hands on baking Aata Biscuits. Though they came out well not so extraordinary....lol...just normal biscuits we can eat at home. Utilizing the lockdown days baking was also one thing in my wishlist and there is more to come, I am not stricking this off yet. I know I can do better and the next batch will come out more tastier and more presentable than these ones. I followed the recipe from youtube and in the quest of making the second batch in few days I will find out another receipe...and I know I will succeed. Here are some pictures of biscuits from different stages of baking: Ready to go inside the oven Just out from Oven The Final Product

21 Days Lockdown Series Day 1: उम्मीद पे दुनिया कायम है

So here is my poem for the day 25-03-2020 आज सुबह झूले पे बैठे जब मै अपने पौधों को निहार रही थी, तभी नज़र उस एक कली पे गई जो अभी तक पूरी तरह खिली भी नहीं थी। Read the previous article here

21 Days Lockdown Series

When Corona pandemic hits the country it hits each and everyone, big or small, rich or poor, woman or man, old or young. But getting away with it there is only one thing you can do and is to stay at home. While this is ongoing and as a mandate from the Government we have to stay at home at least for 21 days which started from last midnight.  Everyday is still a new day but with few mandatory changes in the life style we follow. Here I will write how I spent each and every day of lockdown while working from home.  Here it goes  21 Days Lockdown Day 1 The morning started very unusual than earlier. The birds were chirping but were less as usual. No monkeys were seen on the terrace of the opposite building. More noticeable was that no one rang the door bell since morning. As no outsider can enter our society premises so there is no milkman, no maid, no cook, no service man, none.  The morning hustle bustle of the society is also missing. We don't hear kids playing
