Rajneeti or Rajya ki Neeti

Last night only I saw the latest bollywood flick named Rajneeti; the story which has been written from the plot of the hindu epic ‘Mahabharta’. It also gives an overview of the much renowned Gandhi family from the pages of Indian Politics.

I could easily relate with the movie because:

1: I had watched the whole series of the epic couple of times; and the characters/story-line was relative to what is shown in the movie.
2: I had read the biography of Indira Gandhi; which clearly shows how as a small kid Indira had attended the political meetings; how she fell in love with her husband, how her sons were killed; in nutshell her journey from a bright student from the family till playing a major role in Indian politics and creating a place of her family to continue the league till today.

As mentioned earlier; the incidents in the movie also clearly shows the rivalry between the second line generation of a high profile political family and how the marriage alliances are made; it would be appropriate if I would say in such kind of atmosphere marriages are not made in heaven; for people like them marriages are just ‘a contract’, ‘a bank balance’, a ‘fund’ for the party, an ‘increased count of number of votes’ and many more.

The movie easily gives us an overview of how a political career can make or break a person; how the fight for chair takes place which stands on the bloodshed of thousands of innocent citizens. There are some characters in the movie which are meant to be the silent killers: the MIND behind the political ball game.

The Indian mythology and Indian politics are two such areas which if studied well can make you a genius in each and every aspect in life.

There are lots many things to learn and follow in life…
