A Complete Woman

This women's day let’s talk about the Men in your life. Let us acknowledge their presence around us. 

Am I a complete woman?

I ask myself sitting alone one day in my room under the dim light of my lantern, the only light which helps me spark my writing, my instincts, and let my words come out on paper. 

What is a complete woman? 

For ages, this question is there but in every era, every generation has its own answer. Some say a complete woman is one who is married, has kids, is a good homemaker, a dedicated wife, and daughter-in-law, a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, etc...All at once. 

Come to another generation they say a woman is one who is independent in her thoughts, speaks her mind, does what she feels, travels solo, owns million dollar company alone, takes care of the family, even if have kids they are also well taken care of. What is that woman has the power of balancing work and personal life; keeping everyone happy in the course of life? 

Go to the next, they say women are the ones who are single mothers, unmarried mothers, stays alone, looks after themselves and family, have their own space; mental and physical, run their own house, own company, or even say the nation. 

But do you know apart from 'not-so-good' people even speak 'some- good' about men too:

Who stands behind you when you are just a kid; you are daddy's little girl. He is the first man in your life.

Who stands with you when there are other mischievous kids in your life while you are on the way to the school bus or even in your school? They are your friends, your classmates, they are still men in your life. 

Who stands with you when your parents or even your extended family scold you for any silly thing you would have done. They are your brothers and uncles in your life. They are also men in your life. 

Who are the ones you start loving in the course of your life, some love you back too, they are also men in your life? 

Who are the ones with you at your workplace, sometimes they stand with you too and be there with you in your thick and thin, they are also men in your life. 

The list is endless, there are many men still not mentioned here, some you meet every day some you meet only once or even never but they are still they are there in your life. 

As nothing is permanent so as any relation of the roles played by men in your life paves the way and shows you the light ahead. Even if you are alone at a point but never forget the MEN in your life and how they have helped you knowingly or unknowingly for you to be where you are today and made a successful journey for tomorrow. 

Do not hesitate to appreciate the men in your life and let them know how much they mean to you and the ones who are not there today are missed a lot and remembered every single day. Even the days have changed but love and respect for them would always be there. 

So look back and feel their presence in your life forever.

Sometime back my colleague gave a presentation on the FISH Philosophy; it is a theory from John Christensen; which was derived by placing cameras in fish market to study the behaviour of workers working actively.
